Hello everyone and Happy New Year! After a much needed Christmas break, the Blank Canvas Entertainment team are back in the office and looking forward to an exciting 2017!
Now that we have all returned, we have been looking back at our December – the busiest month we have ever had – and what a fantastic month it was! We were able to help lots of clients with fantastic entertainment for their events and help spread the Christmas cheer!
As always, we just wanted to share some of our highlights with you.
Hollywood Comes to Grace Bar
To celebrate their office Christmas party, one of our clients decided to host a Hollywood themed party at Grace Bar in Piccadilly and were looking for some entertainment to compliment this.
We provided them with one of our favourite magicians, an amazing digital caricaturist, a popcorn machine and a paparazzi photographer, who snapped guests as they came down the stairs.
All the guests enjoyed the entertainment and we loved loved the template Michael, the digital caricaturist created to draw guests heads onto (see below).
A Special Birthday Party at Mosimann’s
One of our favourite parties this year took place at Mosimann’s, where a lovely client was celebrating her birthday. It was a fantastic party at a wonderful venue with some amazing entertainment.
We provided Opera Singing Waiters, an amazing DJ with live musicians called Organic Jam, an incredible circus act called Halo, a dance floor and later, due to noise restrictions, equipment for a silent disco.
The night was full of surprises with the Opera Singing Waiters pretending to be real waiting staff until the big reveal and later with guests being presented with headphones for a surprise performance by Halo.
Bringing Gatsby to The Millennium Hotel
We very excited to be asked by a client to help them with their Gatsby themed party (one of our favourite themes). We provided six of our Gatsby Guys and Girls to entertain guests.
The evening began with guests being greeted by the Gatsby Guys, whilst the Girls performed some 1920s background numbers.
Once guests had finished eating, The Gatsby Guys and Girls performed their first dance set, transporting guests back to an era with energy and style. The Girls showed off their fancy footwork, high kicks and fabulous tricks, whilst the boys spun and flipped all over the dance floor. Following pudding, guests were treated to another performance, which even included a Charleston lesson, which had everyone up on the floor.
Have a great start to 2017 and please do get in touch with any entertainment requests you might have for this year!
