Blank Canvas Entertainment would like to take this opportunity to express our deepest sympathies for all those who have lost loved ones to COVID-19. Nothing is more important than our health, and we are fully supportive of the difficult decision taken by governments across the world to suspend public gatherings until this crisis has passed.
We would like to give our sincerest thanks to the frontline workers who have kept our essential services running, and to our heroic NHS staff and volunteers, who risk their lives every day to help the most vulnerable in our society.
We also appreciate that the hardship inflicted by COVID-19 extends beyond those directly affected by the virus. Through no fault of their own, many have lost their livelihoods and been forced to put future plans on hold as a result of measures taken to fight the pandemic.
Based around bringing together gatherings of people, the entertainment and events industry has been hit especially hard by the crisis. Performers have had their entire touring schedules erased in a matter of weeks, whilst venues, promoters and agencies have had to cancel or postpone all of their events for the foreseeable future.
The current climate is one of great uncertainty, and so we would like to make our position clear. To our industry colleagues: we express solidarity, and promise you that we will come out of this stronger than ever. To our clients: we reassure you that Blank Canvas Entertainment remains open for business – plans are already underway for some world-class events later in the year, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you as soon as it is safe to do so.
On a lighter note, we would like to remind you that although we are in lockdown, we remain an entertainment provider.
