May Recap!
May 30 - Kevin

The month of May, you have been awesome, thank you and GOODNIGHT!

We have had a crazily business month here in the BCE offices this May from celebrating both the May bank holidays to Cinco de Mayo parties, weddings galore and much much more! First and foremost thank you to everyone that has used our services from our new customers to our loyal supporters and also a HUGE shout out to our phenomenal acts for their incredible entertainment too 🙂

We thought in this blog post we would talk through a handful of events that we have done this month that stood out to us!

Making Magic:

Earlier this month a good friend of the BCE offices got married  (YAY) and we were lucky enough to make the cut and be in attendance. It is always interesting for us entertainment folk to be on the receiving end of acts and performers when you are a guest at an event as opposed to working it. However, as we did provide the entertainment there was a slight element of work but also a HUGE element of play! The day started off with one of our beautiful harpists guiding the bride down the aisle to ‘Tale as Old as Time’ at Kew Gardens and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house! Our harpist continued to play throughout the reception at Kew – all very lovely, summery and romantic! We then shimmied our way over to Bush Hall where we were greeted with one of our A-W-E-S-O-M-E magicians, Etienne and WOW oh WOW was he amazing, jaws were dropping, voices were shrieking and people were freaking especially when Etienne called the newlyweds up on stage to participant in a magic show – it was unreal! Later on in the evening one of our bands brought the house down with such a range of songs it was so epic! From old to new, Metal to Motown, Jazz to Jive and much more, they had everyone on their feet during all three of their sets and we were handing out cards left right and centre for future bookings! It was all in all an awesome day and we wish the lovely newlyweds a lifetime of magic, joy and happiness 🙂

Al Fresco Acoustics:

Our gals ‘Verity and Violet’ were booked to perform at the Chelsea Flower Show after party at Royal Hospital, Chelsea in the later part of May and we personally couldn’t think of a better singing duo to perform at such an event! Their vintage vibes, sparkling presence and smooth vocals created such a happy ambiance blending old time favorites with modern music seamlessly making it too irresistible for those in attendance not to start toe tapping and shoulder bouncing.  They were the perfect addition to a beautiful spring evening.

Bringing Mexico to Mosimann’s!

Our lovely friends at Mossiman’s put together a wonderful celebration in honour of Cinco de Mayo on 5th May, which we were very privileged to be a part of.  Celebrating Mexican heritage at its finest, guests enjoyed great food, flowing drinks and our Mariachi Musical Fiesta! Born and bred in Mexico, our Mariachi Band is the real deal and were dressed in traditional costumes and danced and played their hearts out all night long with a mix of Mexican traditional music and current tracks. Muchas gracias Mossiman’s for a muy bien evening!!

Magicians in Manchester:

Two of our finest magicians, took themselves off up to Manchester for a digital magic filled soiree in mid May. Performing tricks galore to a room full of people, their entertainment never fails to impress! Showcasing some mind blowing new tricks that had never been seen before and enticing the crowds with their seamless sleight-of-hand techniques, the city of Manchester was lit up (as if by magic) by our two magnificent magicians!

Life’s A Cabaret in Early May:

Our clients got ‘a kick out of’ Black Tie Jazz last month when they smoothly sailed over to Victoria Bath House for a wonderful jazz performance with beautiful female vocals. Followed by the all singing and all dancing Gatsby Girls, who added their usual glitz, glam and flapper fun to enchant guests and throw a party like Jay Gatsby himself. They twirled and they swirled delighting and dazzling the guests in attendance!

Shoreditch Shenanigans

At the start of the final May bank holiday weekend, we headed over to Shoreditch House for a night of fun and frolics! The evening started with a fabulous performance from our good ol’ gentlemen friends The Acro Chaps  who amused, thrilled and entertained guests in attendance, whilst showing off their amazing feats of strength with many a guest being thrown up high in the air through-out the party! Later in the evening as the sky became darker, two of our amazing Glow Jugglers took to the stage for a beautiful performance using super bright LED juggling clubs that were utterly mesmerising!
