Gosh, is it just us or has it been a particularly busy start to the year? It’s been an exceptionally busy month for us here at Blank Canvas Entertainment as our team have helped with staff office parties, award ceremonies and shopping centre launches!
As we look forward to a brilliant February, we just wanted to share some of our favourite events with you.
January Office Parties
Many of our clients are often too busy with work in December for a staff party, so opt to organise their office parties in January once the Christmas season is over. This was certainly true for a number of the venues that we work with including The IOD, The Waldorlf Hilton and Gibson Hall. We had a lot of fun providing magicians, bands, DJs, photo booths and game tables!
Thank you at Café De Paris
One of our favourite events in January was helping a client organise a Thank You event for their staff at Café De Paris. It was an incredible night with some wonderful entertainment.
The evening got off to a wonderful start with a member of their staff providing a fantastic big band set – he was so good that we’ve asked him to come on our books, so watch this space!
Following some fantastic jazzy numbers, one of our brilliant glow acts, Kaleidoscope, performed an amazing display on stage and even incorporated the client’s logo into their act. After some of the awards had been given out, two of our amazing digital caricaturists, a digital magician and close up magician, as well as a graphologist stroll around the room, demonstrating their fantastic skills to guests.
Then all of a sudden mist appeared and there was a loud drum roll, as the stage was filled with five mysterious characters composed of light and sound. Spark, then performed a unique and captivating show with high impact drumming and beautiful choreography.
Shopping Centre Launch
Towards the end of last year, we were approached by a client to help with the launch of their new shopping centre in the south of the England, where we provided some amazing dancers and a brilliant magician. In January, we were invited back to help with some entertainment at the same development, only this time we provided three of our strongmen in vintage football clothing. The strongmen delighted passers by with their amazing acrobatic tricks and comedy routines.
